Sending Matt Off with Raised Canes

Yesterday I drove up and got Matt from the Salt Lake Airport to drop him off at the MTC - aside from crazy traffic there and back, we made it back to Provo without incident.  Matt shared his last cookies from Dad which was really nice of him!  We stopped by my apartment to say bye to Allie before she went to work, then continued to Provo.  After getting to Provo, Matt and I stopped by the Creamery to get snacks and breakfast, and I found a cute Halloween blanket for Allie.  Matt and Sam and I went and got Raising Canes for lunch and played several rounds of Dominion at Sam’s apartment before we drove up to the MTC.  We were a little bit late but we got him there.  We had parked in the Wymount apartments and started walking down when the volunteers there told us that we needed to drive through and that there were no walk-ins; thankfully she caught us before we had walked too far down.  We got back in the car and drove in, down to the underground parking.  We were greeted by an elder who would be giving Matt his orientation, and we hugged him goodbye and left.  Short and sweet.  Mom and Dad had also called and talked to Matt on the drive up to the MTC.  We’re so excited for Matt and know he’ll do a great job!
