Unbe-LEAF-able!

Fall is here, and it is living up to its name.  Leaves have been steadily accumulating in our front and back lawns for the last several weeks, and our backyard becomes a bit of a windcatcher - in that all the leaves from across the street make their way eventually into our backyard.  Before Saturday our backyard had a layer of leaves covering all the grass and most of the patio, and I had made a big pile last week in our driveway too.  The leaves were swarming like an arboreal zombie horde in our backyard, just in time for Halloween.

To combat the tidal wave of shrubbery remains, we rented a leaf blower from the Depot of Homes. The wind-wielding power I felt whilst blowing leaves was wonderful - I felt like an airbender who specialized in leaf removal instead of beating up Fire Nation footsoldiers!  Highly recommended.

After walloping the leaf insurgents into piles with my newly found windwaking powers, Allie and I then spent an hour or more filling large garbage bags with the defeated leaves - and ended up with a walloping 29 bags total!  Now we just need to figure out where to put them all and how long it will take to throw them all away...

Hope your fall adventures have been fun too!
